Jose Cuervo
Our Work:
storyboard, design, animation
The agency’s creative had written a script for a set of slides. It came to us with the bottle label and the devil on it. We looked at the slides and saw a story: a fully animated piece about how the devil made his own tequila. We built it on our own initiative and took it to the client. The client said yes.
The label gave us one character. We built him a stage. We developed the storyboard and designed every scene and every graphic element around him, until the label became a theatrical world.

Character, type and atmosphere grow together, scene by scene. The world gets bigger. It still looks like the label.
The piece was made for a screen at an event stand, where it would play with no audio. The person walking past had to follow the story with their eyes alone. So the full script is on screen, and the type does more than caption the images. It moves, it takes up space, it enters the scene like another character. Each moment comes through in words, composition and movement.
The client liked it enough to take it further. The piece went on to social media and to more events.
The cherry on top was the music, composed by Daniel “Dito” Reschigna in his studio, Monosonico.
