Cintel film scanner with 35mm and 16mm reels, used for film transfer in Miami

Film Transfer

Right Cut works inside the Accord Building, a creative hub in Coconut Grove where post, production and film transfer share the same address.

Some projects arrive on film. A reel from a brand's archive, a scene someone chose to shoot on celluloid, footage that has been sitting in a can for thirty years and belongs in the spot.

We transfer 8mm, Super 8, 16mm and 35mm on a Cintel Scanner C-Drive HDR, one floor up from our cutting rooms, and the material goes straight into the edit: conformed, graded and finished alongside everything else. It arrives as film and leaves as part of the picture.

We transfer, we do not develop. Film that still needs processing comes to us after the lab.
